CONSERVATION.
The places that inspire us are worth protecting.
Skulls Tees has deep roots in the dive community. Oceans, reefs, beaches and waterways aren’t just backgrounds for what we do. They’re part of the reason we do it.
Practical choices, not sweeping claims
HOW WE’RE TRYING TO DO BETTER.
Environmental responsibility isn’t one giant decision. It’s hundreds of smaller ones. We focus on choices we can actually make in the way apparel is produced, packed and shipped.
USE LESS.
Reduce unnecessary single-use packaging and choose paper-based or recyclable materials where they’re practical for the job.
REUSE MORE.
Give clean, sturdy shipping boxes and packing materials another trip before replacing them with something new.
PRODUCE SMARTER.
Purchase blanks largely around real production needs, keep speculative inventory lean and work locally or regionally when quality, availability and pricing make sense.
Packaging with less baggage
PROTECT THE APPAREL. SKIP THE PILE OF WASTE.
We’re working toward packaging our apparel with paper-based and recyclable materials wherever they’re practical.
- Paper-based shipping materials when appropriate.
- Kraft paper protection instead of unnecessary plastic layers.
- Paper belly bands and labels to keep bulk orders organized.
- Right-sized packaging that fits the actual order.
The goal is simple: your apparel should arrive protected and organized without creating a mountain of packaging you immediately throw away.

Reuse before recycle
A BOX WITH A HISTORY.
Before we buy a new shipping box, we look for a good one we can use again. Clean, sturdy boxes from incoming business shipments and our own homes get another trip whenever they’re suitable.
So yes, your Skulls Tees order might arrive in a Chewy box. We’re good with that.
Every reused box is inspected for condition, and previous labels and personal information are removed or securely covered.
Reuse it again if you can. Recycle it when you can’t.
Less guessing. Less excess.
MAKE WHAT’S NEEDED.
Much of our custom apparel is produced for specific customers and projects. We purchase blanks largely around actual production needs rather than filling a warehouse and hoping somebody eventually wants them.
That helps reduce unnecessary inventory, obsolete merchandise and garments produced simply to sit on a shelf.
WE’D RATHER MAKE APPAREL PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT TO WEAR.
Connected to the community
BUILT AROUND THE WATER.
Healthy reefs, clean waterways and thriving marine environments matter to the dive shops, resorts, instructors, conservation organizations and divers we work with. They matter to us, too.
We’re not interested in claiming to be perfectly sustainable. We’re interested in making better choices, continuing to improve them, and supporting the communities and environments connected to the places we dive.
APPAREL SHOULD LEAVE AN IMPRESSION. THE PACKAGING SHOULDN’T.
